Me at Bondi Beach August 2008

We went 'tyre kicking' yesterday - thats what we say when we are going to look at motorhomes! We don't really kick tyres - its what all men seem to want to do when they look at a new vehicle.........strange creatures! Anyway, we have found the layout type that works for us but its 2 years too soon! it will wait I'm sure and by then features will have been added and improved so its no big deal and I certainly don't want to wish those 2 years away!

We had our 'van weighed yesterday and she really needs to go to weight watchers! we have hardly any payload left when the fuel tank is full so Ant's project is to see how much weight he can jettison without compromising the camping experience - I don't think it will be that much but its giving him something to think about! I have personally managed to lose 2lbs this week so that a bottle of wine that can be added to the cupboard instead!!

Wish I was somewhere warm...............

catch up time!

long overdue, too much really to catch up with so in short, family fine, friends all good! Finding it a bit lonely at home, its hard when you don't like housework and people tend to frown if one crafts all day! Not Ant though - he is happy as long as I'm happy! Bless him!
Wish the weather would cheer up a bit, its quite dark and its only 2.40pm, I don't mind the winter season, its just the dark dreary afternoons that drain me.
Holidays last year were great - Oz was amazing and VA was great as usual, seeing Andrea and Al and the kids always cheers me up, I find that I quite settle and almost don't want to leave them at the end of my time there but there is a very strong pull on this side of the pond!!!

We have invested in a campervan and she is the love of Ant's life! I am quite fond of her too which helps!! a lot!! we have had some great hols with her already and have begun to make plans for this spring/summer including Scotland with Andrew and Robyn so that they can go climbing - they are kidnapping David - thats ok we know where they are going and the ransom is bound to be cheap!

They went up Mount Snowdon last year and want to go higher this time - good luck to them - we shall be keeping our feet firmly on the straight and level ground, no more climbing for me!

Kirsty and Liz really enjoyed our trip to Skeggy in September - the weather was awesome for the time of year and it was definitely warm enough to go in the sea- shame we had not taken our bathing gear...... all in all a good year, the sad things wea re still working through and that is what life throws at you every so often.
